Dungeon Leveling as a Balance Druid

When dungeon leveling as a Balance Druid, make sure that you use your skills properly. Keep in mind that as a Druid you can remove poisons and curses as well as heal your party members. You have the skills to do so. Some Balance Druids queue as healers in lower level dungeons to find groups faster.

Curses on your party can decrease the DPS output because of the slower casting time. Dispelling the curse can lower your personal DPS but it helps the overall performance of your team and that’s what’s important in dungeon leveling.

The same goes with healing. It is important for every class that’s capable of healing to do so during dungeon leveling. This is more important when you’re in low level dungeons. Stopping your DPS to heal can prevent a wipe from occurring. Wiping is a no-no in dungeon leveling.

When you get Typhoon at Level 50, don’t be too trigger happy with it. Tanks don’t like it when you knock the mobs away from them. If you’re in a group with a Frost Mage that uses Frostbite, chances are the mobs you knocked back will be frozen away from the melee Tank.

Dungeon leveling gives you the chance to loot good items for your class. As a Balance Druid, there are lots of gears to look out. The Satchel of Helpful Goods drops after killing the final boss when you used the Dungeon Finder tool.

Some bosses do drop Balance Druid gears that will make your dungeon leveling much easier. Some of these gears are Whisperwind Headdress from Razorfen Kraul, Death Speaker Mantle from Razonfen Kraul, Robes of Arugal from Shadowfang Keep, Gold-flecked Gloves from The Deadmines, Deathmage Sash from the Razorfen Downs, and Gaze Dreamer Pants from Blackfathom Deeps. These are from the old world dungeons. You can get much better gear when you reach Outland and Northend.

Lastly, as a Balance Druid you should know the proper spells to use when dungeon leveling. Your main role in the group is to deal damage with healing and dispel on the side. On trash mobs, you don’t need to use DoTs because they would die fast even without them. For stronger mobs, you can start with Insect Swarm. For anything else start with Wrath and just keep spamming Wrath on everything. \

Balance Druids should be careful with their AOE spells when dungeon leveling. You don’t want to aggro additional mobs. If it is a legitimate AOE pull of four mobs then use your AOE spells. Anything less and you’re just wasting your mana.

Every class can benefit from dungeon leveling, even Balance Druids. As long as you know your role and how to use your spells well, your instance run will be smooth and wipe free. Keep in mind that you must spam Wrath, dispel poisons and curses, heal when Tank’s HP is low, and avoid knocking back mobs away from the Tank. Just follow these tips and you’ll be a welcome member of any dungeon party.
