These days players have the choice to either solo quest, go into the Battlegrounds, or Dungeon leveling.
Most people with new characters choose dungeon leveling to reach level. They use the Dungeon Finder to queue for a random instance. Once a party is assembled, the members will automatically be transported inside the dungeon. The tool is found on your action bar. Just look for the icon that looks like a small green eye.
Dungeon Finder is available for players who Level 15 and above. You can immediately do some instances as soon as you ding at 15. Just click on the Dungeon Finder icon, indicate your role, and click on the look for group button.
Here are some tips to maximize your dungeon leveling experience. With these tips you can gain more XP quicker and earn more gold in the process as well. These tips will make the game more fun for you and your party members.
If you’re a tank or a healer then skip this part. This is for the DPS players. When queuing with the Dungeon Finder, DPS will have to wait long than a Tank or a Healer. This is because there’s probably one Tank for every DPS around.
If you’re a DPS, be sure to do solo quests during your downtime. That way you’ll continue to level while waiting for a dungeon group. You can cut your waiting time by partying with a Tank or Healer and queue for a dungeon as a group.
Before you do some dungeon leveling, you must orient yourself with the different dungeons within your level range. Some lower level dungeons are longer and you can get lost inside it. By knowing beforehand the details of the dungeon, you can breeze through it and just worry about the boss fights.
When dungeon leveling, it is best that you have the quests for the dungeons that you’ll be going to. This is one way of maximizing the amount of experience points you can earn within the instance. Some dungeon quests are part of a chain quest. That means you need to do some solo quests that are prerequisite for the dungeon quest.
There are times when you are eligible for a dungeon quest but you don’t know where do get it. If this is the case, you can ask your group members if they have any quests to share with you. That way you can do the quests inside the instance.
Dungeon leveling is perfect for PVP servers. You don’t have to worry about being killed by a player of the opposing faction while leveling because the only people inside the instance are part of your party. Plus you get to experience each of the dungeons that World of Warcraft has to offer.
